Testimonials

"I can not sing my praises for Dr. Julie loud enough! Having gone through the most traumatic injury of my dance career this year, Dr. Julie has been the most vital part of my recovery, physically and emotionally, and I wouldn’t want to be in the hands of any other Physical Therapist professional. She has been my biggest motivator and best teacher through the months and months of constant progressions and healing. Always giving the most thorough explanations and understanding of every exercise and why they are important. Her expertise in the body and strengthening of an injury is impressive and proficient. Also her specialization in dancers and performers is another reason she is most trusted by many in this Broadway community. Dr. Julie has made my body and mindset stronger than even before my injury and I will forever be thankful for the time I’ve got to work with her and all I learned from her to continue to keep my body strong and able moving forward in my career.”

“Working with Julie has been a game changer for my career. As a fellow dancer she has a unique shared awareness of what my body needs and how I can reset to square one post performance. When I tore my ACL she was a grounding and steady guide not only through the rehab but also in the mental process of recovery. She’s incredible at adapting exercises to keep a  a delinquent patient like myself constantly engaged and one of the only people on my team I can turn to for a constructive conversation when I’m struggling with a step and my directors don’t have the language to help me correct. I realize I have a unique relationship with my PT, but I trust Julie fully with my instrument and care in maintaining my career as a performing artist holistically as possible.”

  • Julie Segall is truly a gift. I first sought additional physical therapy for a dance-related injury that I sustained from a show I was performing in. My level of physical activity is very demanding and requires a high level of care to not only keep me at performance level, but also help me deal with my injury while still having to perform eight shows a week. When I first found Julie, I was in a lot of pain and very nervous. After our first session I knew I wanted to work with her. She was more thorough than any other PT I had seen before, and I left with a plan to help me see my progress, work more efficiently, and incorporate breathwork into my routine. Overtime, I was given an arsenal of exercises to help me become stronger. I now understand my body more than ever and no longer struggle with my initial injury. I continue to see her for maintenance purposes, and I've sent many of my friends to her because of her impeccable care and attention to detail.

  • I’ve been a professional actor/dancer for 15 years and have had my fair share of show-related injuries. No physical therapist has ever helped me the way Julie has. Her focused energy and her wealth of knowledge have been a game changer for me in my recovery process. I couldn’t recommend her more highly."
